#5 and Counting!

I wasn't having much luck with catching any more rabbits, so I had pretty much given up on another catch for this season.  But, this morning when I went out to check on the garden, I heard some rustling, and happily discovered that bunny #5 was objecting to his entrapment!  I had to go into work this morning, so didn't have a chance to relocate him until later in the afternoon.

I drove him to my favorite drop off spot, released him from the cage, then watched him try to get his bearings....  :(  I was comforted by the fact that I saw another rabbit along the berm when I pulled up - hopefully she was a member of the welcoming committee!

Celebrate Life

I had the privilege of joining my friend Rose at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia today for their annual Celebrate Life, a wonderful 2-day celebration honoring their patients who have reached the five-year post cancer milestone.  What a celebration!

Quotes Worth Contemplating

"Success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles, but by your reaction to them.  And if you look at those obstacles as a containing fence, they become your excuse for your failure.  If you look at them as a hurdle, each one strengthens you for the next, and nothing can stop you."
- Dr. Ben Carson, in the movie Gifted Hands

Ravages

OK, what's wrong with this picture?
Could it be the fact that there is only one lone sugar snap pea stalk that has somehow survived the ravages of the rabbits?!  :{  Last year I had an abundant harvest of sugar snap peas, with stalks almost 7 feet tall.  Not going to be happening this year!
